No or low cost for the basics—a document that is easy to download, fill in, print and export for posting on job sites or for sending to employers. This is the 'no frills' type of resume.
No expertise required—the software does the job for you if you don't mind a standard boilerplate model.

No worries about website hosting––some online resume builder sites offer a mini-website where you can post your resume and add a few details that highlight your personality and more detailed information about yourself.

Downside:

Cookie-cutter look-alike––nothing fresh or original about these resumes so if you need a touch of creativity, this is not the way to go.

Limited editing and changes––you pretty much get what they offer. But that might work for you so again, look at what you're paying for.
